EMS WEEK 2008!

May 18-24th, 2008

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) week is a week of celebration dedicated to the achievements of the men and women who daily, are on the front lines within the EMS community. These men and women who are first responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency medical dispatchers and other team members like emergency room physicians and emergency room nurses deliver life saving skills to people daily.

With advances in modern technology, exciting new medical procedures, and dedication to countless hours of skilled training, the emergency room on wheels will arrive at any scene of an emergency incident prepared too provide essential life saving skills and treatment.

But today's EMS is more than just an ambulance. We at SEMSA are committed to provide the EMS services, and the communities they serve, as much health education and information as possible. SEMSA will be providing many educational and information resources for EMS Week.  Continue to watch this area for the highlights and of course photos

EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "frontline"!

bulletMeet and Greet!
bulletMost communities have long-term care or nursing homes that residents of are not always capable or able to leave as frequently as others.  Wouldn't it be a great gesture to visit the care home and give a flower (carination) to the residents and introduce yourself!  It is a fantastic way to promote staff and service in the event that residents may need you on day...they might remember you and feel much better when in need!
